I live in a community, where Internet connection is incredibly slow. So, I was thinking of buying an iPhone and make use of the new tethering function(tethering means using your iPhone as a modem to connect to the Internet from my computer). It is not cheap, but since that is the only option, I was willing to pay the price.

But, to my dismay, I found out that T-mobile Germany, the sole iPhone service provider, does not support tethering, and does not have any specific plan to support it in the near future(you can read for yourself at this link). I heard some bad things about T-mobile, but I didn’t expect this. Even AT&T will support tethering this summer, and T-Mobile Germany doesn’t know when it will support this legitimate function?

I may still buy an iPhone, because it can be so handy in so many situations, but the dream of having fast Internet connection is lost, at least for now.
