How to fix Mighty Mouse scroll ball problem
I have a wireless mighty mouse. I like its minimalist design and simplicity. But, sometimes the scroll wheel does not work properly. This problem seemed to come and go, so I thought it was an OS problem. But after googling it, I realized it was hardware problem.
The cause of scroll ball malfunction is dirt stuck behind the ball. To remove it, you need to place a clean sheet of paper on a level surface, then press the scroll ball against the paper, and move it around. It is a simple and effective cure for a very common disease among certain rodent. Now, the scroll ball on my mighty mouse looks clean, and it also functions properly.
